Office Location: Please see map. Our current office is temporary. We’ll be moving in to our brand new medical office building in the Spring 2009.

Office Visits: We have open access scheduling, meaning we leave a good portion of the doctor’s schedule open for same day appointments. This helps us see you if you’re sick or need a “last minute scout physical.” If you call today, chances are we can see you today. If several family members are sick or have medical issues, please make an appointment for each person who needs medical attention.

Fractures and Cuts: We are happy to take care of urgent issues such as sprains, fractures or cuts. If you have a major injury such as a car accident or head injury, however, it’s probably best to head to the emergency room.

Cancellations or Late Arrival: If you need to cancel an appointment, please let us know in a timely manner. Patients arriving more than 20 minutes late may be asked to reschedule. If you “no-show” for an appointment, however, you may be charged a fee.

Refills: Scheduling a visit with your doctor is the best way to refill your medications. This way we can review your history, check for drug interactions, and do blood work if needed. You always get better care when you sit down face to face with your doctor. If you need a small supply of medication to get you through to your next appointment, simply call your pharmacy and they will get the request to our office.

Immunizations: We follow the current immunization guidelines established by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).

Test Results: We will call you back on all test results, including normal results. If you haven’t heard back on a test arranged by our office, please give us a call so we can track things down.

After-Hours Emergencies: Dr. Egan and Dr. Sundwall are available for urgent questions or medical needs after the office is closed. They can be reached through the regular office number, 763-9851. Just follow the voice prompts to connect with the doctor. We are happy to help you anytime, but we prefer not to call in antibiotics or pain medication without being seen.

Hospitalization: We see newborn babies and pediatric patients at American Fork Hospital and Timpanogos Hospital. For our adult patients that need to be in the hospital, we use the hospitalist program at these locations. A hospitalist is a medical doctor that specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. If you ever need hospitalization, Dr. Egan and Dr. Sundwall will be in contact with the hospital doctors to help coordinate your care.

Insurance: We accept most insurance, but new patients should call our office to confirm their plan with our staff.

Medicare and Medicaid: We will continue to see our established patients with Medicare and Medicaid, but we are currently not accepting new Medicaid or Medicare clients.

Insurance claims: If you have insurance, we will send them a bill for our services as a courtesy to you. Our office will try in every way we can to make the processing of your insurance claims as simple as possible. We try our best to help sort out insurances issues, but we can’t know everything about the hundreds of different plans out there. It is very important that you know and understand your insurance benefits.

Outstanding Balances: Our services are rendered to you, not to your insurance company. If we perform services that your insurance doesn’t cover, you are responsible for the bill. We will send you a statement for any outstanding balances. Delinquent accounts will be sent to a collection agency if not paid in a timely manner.

Fees and Payments: Co-payments are due at the time of service.

Medical Records: We keep your records private. We will only share your records with doctors involved in your care and your insurance company. Your written approval is required for any other purpose. A nominal charge may be required for a paper copy of your records.
